BBQ Classes

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to cook over fire the right way—this is where it starts.

Fat Ox BBQ is teaming up with our friend Baked by Monet to host live, in-person BBQ and baking classes at her personal facility—an incredible space built for live fire cooking, baking, slow smoking, and more.

Whether you’re a backyard beginner or you’ve been running a pit for years, these classes are designed to be hands-on, practical, and loaded with real techniques you can take home and use immediately.

What You’ll Learn

Classes will rotate throughout the year and can include topics like:

  • BBQ fundamentals (flavor building, timing, temps)

  • Live fire cooking techniques

  • Slow smoking (low-and-slow the right way)

  • Fire management (fuel, airflow, heat control)

  • Sauces and finishing (when to sauce, how to layer flavor)

  • Pairing BBQ with signature baked goods

  • Pairings, sides, and how to build a complete spread

Where Classes Are Held

All classes are hosted at Baked by Monet’s private facility, set up specifically for:

  • Live fire cooking

  • Slow smoking

  • Baking

  • Hands-on learning in a real, working space
